In a perfect world, Pavement would be considered “Stadium Rock”. Pavement is such an incredible
rock band, never afraid to take chances and go into different directions, Terror Twilight doesn’t
disappoint. Radically different then my personal fave “Brighten the Corners” or even “Slanted and
Enchanted”, “Terror Twilight” is a bit more spaced out, but still with the strange non-sensical lyrics
that makes it a lot of fun to try to learn the words “She believes in leprechauns, Irish folk tales scare
the shit out of me” The whole album is a real treat, from the classic Pavement style Spit on a
Stranger, to the folky-Beckesque Folk Jam, ending with the delightful wah-wahed out Carrot
Rope-chop full of very bizarre sexual innuendo.
