Do
you have that Kottonmouth feeling? Thats your best route to take
before your brain absorbs this album if you ask me. Y2KMK, why not
dawg? .... These 19 fat joints contained within "High Society" cover
ideas of marijuana legalization, Anarchy, and freedom to choose
one's own path.
High Society was
produced by band member "Daddy X" Brad Xavier, former frontman of
Humble Gods and businessman behind Suburban Noize Records. Saint
Dog split from the Kings and former Kottonmouth Kings member Johnny
Richter stepped back in the smokas ring with a fresh flow that teams
smooth with D-Loc's stylee. A good example of their tag-team skills
is represented in "Round and Round" with a thumpin beat to accompany.
The albums single
"Peace Not Greed" has a fresh
chorus that boasts "How would life be if the world smoked weed?
Guaranteed to be peace not greed, see its hell livin in a cell,
legalize the plant only time will tell." DJ Bobby B lays down stoner
stylee cuts left and right plus his blend for a smooth closing to
the album. "Kings Blend" is in my opinion the #1 smoke out song
to elevate your mind to on this CD. ICP and the Kings team up on
"Wicket Clowns", but dont expect this duo to ever associate together
again. Violent J got pissed and decided to cut all ties with Suburban
Noize Records.
Overall you can
run through the tracks in this CD with skipping a minimal amount
of songs, mostly a great album for upbeat partying .... if you dont
feel this CD at all blaze a few then see what you think. Guest appearances
by: Dog Boy of Too Rude, Jack Grisham of T.S.O.L, Corporate Avenger,
Sen Dog of Cypress Hill, Grand Vanacular and Insane Clown Posse.
