I must admit, when I reviewed H2O's last record I wasn't
too impressed. After listening to the new one I believe I may need to
change my tune. I really can't pin-point what it was that makes this one so
much better than the last as they have never strayed too far from their NYC
Hardcore sound, but it seems that with this, their 3rd record, they've
perfected their songcraft and have put together a collection of songs that
will stick with you long after you've done flailing away in the mosh pit or
hit stop on the stereo. Fast, driving guitars, powerful and melodic vocals,
vicious bass assault, wicked drumming, anthemic choruses, and positive
reinforcement are what H2O is about and they do it better than just about
anyone. You get 18 rocking, hooky H2O originals and a killer cover of
hardcore originals 7 Seconds "Not Just Boys Fun". NYC Hardcore at it's finest.
