Ben Harper was positioned on the Coachella lineup on Sunday during the transition from day to night when strange energies started floating around. His band was the beginning of the home stretch for the weekend and the audience was getting amped. The fact that Ben Harper was seated didn’t dissuade fans from forming a formidable mosh pit. And although the music wasn’t aggressive, folks were slamming and body surfing for the duration of the show. Maybe it had something to do with the musicianship - arguably the best of the entire festival.
